Daniel Cole, Solicitor
LLB University of Waikato

Dan graduated from the University of Waikato in 2021 and was admitted to the bar in 2022. Originally from sunny Gisborne on the East Coast, he grew up enjoying the region’s warm climate and close‑knit community. After practising law in Gisborne for two years, he made the move to Hamilton to broaden his legal experience and further develop his career with Evans Bailey.
Dan is a property lawyer with expertise in both residential and commercial conveyancing, and he also advises clients on commercial and retail leasing matters. Dan’s steady manner, strong work ethic, and commitment to clear communication make him a trusted advisor in all property matters. One of his favourite parts of the job is meeting new people and building long‑lasting connections — something that reflects his approachable nature and genuine interest in helping clients navigate important milestones.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys staying active. He’s an avid volleyball player, a regular at the gym, and loves getting outdoors to walk up mountains. He also values spending quality time with friends and family, which keeps him grounded and connected.
