Judy Cuellar, Director

Judy graduated in 2003 and started work in a small Hamilton law firm specialising in trusts and business structures. She was in charge of the property law side of the firm from 2007, dealing with residential conveyancing, transfers between related parties, subdivisions, unit titles, leases and business sales. She also advised on wills, enduring powers of attorney, commercial contracts, and trust formation and administration.

In 2010 Judy moved to Inland Revenue as an in-house solicitor. In 2013 she was made a senior solicitor, and developed specialties in the areas of the taxation of trusts, charities, tax avoidance and tax disputes.

She has always preferred dealing directly with clients so in 2019 she made the decision to move back to private practice and took up a position with Evans Bailey.

Judy speaks Spanish fluently and enjoys meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. Her children are now grown, which gives Judy and her husband time to indulge in other interests such as travel, food and music concerts.
